Ever since I can remember, I’ve had an askew view of the world around me, often seeing things or seeing them in a way, that escaped others. I have also always loved telling stories. Whether it was with the written word, the moving picture, or invoking imagery, for myself or for a client, telling a story is a time-honored and powerful tradition. There’s something magical about making something out of nothing vis-à-vis visual design voodoo and graphic design goodness.

Coordinated and executed life-style and in-studio photo shoots for digital and print marketing purposes. Responsible for site-wide web maintenance (front- and back-end) including coding and graphics for daily updates and content creation. • Writer, director and producer of multiple-award-winning short films including the Tarantino-meets-Twilight Zone trilogy, “The Gospel According to Booze, Bullets & Hot Pink Jesus,” the black & white killer thriller, “Between Hell and a Hard Place,” and the sinister stay-at-home horror hits “Don’t Let the Light In” and “The Corner,” all of which have achieved international broadcast distribution and screened at film festivals all around the world.
• Wrote, produced and directed “Kill Giggles,” an award-winning independent feature-length film being released with Hollywood studio distribution. Coordinated all aspects of every phase of production. Solely responsible for running multiple fundraising campaigns (including copywriting, art direction, and promotion) which successfully raised the required budget.
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently direct multiple teams from different departments to synergize efforts under tight deadlines in creating something truly spectacular for each and every film project.

Responsible for the daily uploading, design and maintenance of an extensive, full-service newspaper website. Worked with server-side scripting for uploading of all sections (news, sports, features, classifieds, etc.) Provided web design tech support for over 40 newspapers within the corporation. Assisted in integration of online archiving system and eventual content management. Responsible for converting print-based design content and advertisements to web-based standards of viewing (resolution aspects, format conversion), as well as original interactive artistic creation. Creatively directed the conversion of print-based publications into a coherent and intuitive digital format.

What happens, honestly, is magic. Sometimes you just need an askew view of the universe in order to see the world around you most creatively and that's what we pride ourselves on at Mad Ones Designs - out of the box, out of the ordinary, out of our minds...  one of a kind!

The very first time I read those words by Kerouac they struck a chord within and the world around me made just a little bit more sense.
